Bio of Major Christopher W. Cook
Major
Christopher W. Cook attended ROTC at East Central University
where he was commissioned on 16 Dec 1994. He entered Active
Duty on 16 January 1995, attended Field Artillery Officer Basic
Course and was assigned to 6th Battalion, 32 Field
Artillery Regiment where he served as a Platoon Leader,
Maintenance Officer and Battalion S-1. On 31 May 1999, Major
Cook left active duty joined the Army Reserves. In the
Reserves, he has served in the 95th Division as a
Battery Commander, Battalion Assistant S-3, Brigade S-1,
Battalion XO and is currently assigned as the 1st
Brigade S-4.
Major Cook was
recalled to active duty 2004-2006 as an Observer
Controller/Trainer with the 75th Division in support
of deploying National Guard and Army Reserve. In addition, he
recently completed a tour in Afghanistan where he was a trainer
for the Afghanistan Army and Police.
Major Cook holds
a Bachelor of Science in Management from East Central University
and a Master of Business Administration in Telecommunication
Management from the University of Dallas. He is employed at
AT&T as a Senior Quality/M&P/Process Manager. His military
schooling includes: Airborne School, Field Artillery Officer
Basic Course, Signal Officers Advanced Course, the Combined Arms
and Services Staff School, and Intermediate Level Education.
His awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious
Service Medal (1 OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), the
Army Achievement Meal (3 OLC).
